FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Technical Basics
Which robot brands and models are supported? +
FASTSUITE is compatible with most mainstream industrial robot and CNC machine brands, including ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, Stäubli, Panasonic, OTC, Nachi, Dürr, DENSO, Comau, Universal Robots, Reis, Epson, Kobelco, Prima Power, Trumpf, Cloos, SHIBUYA and more. The brand library is continuously updated; models not yet listed can be added via custom modeling services.
Do I need a physical robot to program? +
Programming is fully offline, done in a virtual environment; final trajectory validation still happens on the physical robot.
How accurate is the simulation? +
The kinematic model error is controlled within ±0.1mm, with calibration tools for secondary calibration. Toolpath simulation can achieve up to 95% similarity with the real path.
How is PLC communication handled? +
OPC UA, Profinet and Ethernet-IP protocols are supported, configured as needed.
Cost & Implementation
What licensing models are available? +
Perpetual (one-time) or subscription (annual) licensing, with discounts for multi-robot licenses. Both on-premise deployment and rental modes are available; rental includes maintenance, and short-term rentals are available for project peaks.
How long does deployment take? +
Standard deployment takes 2–4 weeks; complex scenarios can be scoped via a paid consulting assessment.
Is there a free trial? +
A 30-day full-feature trial is available (some process packages may be limited).
Core Features
Can I import third-party CAD data? +
Yes — STEP, IGES, Parasolid, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks and other mainstream formats are supported, with automatic recognition of geometric features such as weld seams.
How many robots can be coordinated simultaneously? +
Up to 8 devices can be synchronized simultaneously, with timing coordination and spatial collision-avoidance.
Can the software be customized? +
Yes. FASTSUITE Edition 2 provides a complete Python API (CenPy) with VS Code debugging and a plugin framework, enabling deep customization for specific customer needs.
Competitive Positioning
How does FASTSUITE compare to robot-vendor OLP tools (e.g. RobotStudio) or DELMIA? +
Stronger cross-brand compatibility, faster localized service response, process optimization tailored to Chinese manufacturing scenarios, deep process know-how (welding/spraying/grinding/inspection), dynamic collision prediction, and automatic path optimization.
